If you live in Abilene, or have attended the Pepperdine Bible Lectures or ACU Summit, you have likely heard of Randy Harris. A beloved ACU professor, preacher and author, Harris is known
to many as a dynamic speaker and church leader. His most recent project, a book and DVD series titled Living Jesus: Doing What Jesus Says in the Sermon on the Mount, was recently released by Leafwood Publishers.
And we want to celebrate!
That’s why Saturday, June 23rd, you can hear Harris answer questions about this new project and the Sermon on the Mount at the Abilene Mardel. Harris will be signing copies of the book and DVD series from 2-4pm but we are expecting a big crowd so don’t be late! Mardel is offering a 25% discount on the book to all who attend, as if you needed another reason to come.
Mike Cope, a fellow Leafwood author (Megan’s Secrets, 2011), beloved ACU professor and church leader, has this to say of Harris:
“I’ve seen Randy in front of thousands. No one is better: no one articulates deep, rich, Christ-centered words any better. But I’ve also witnessed him with one or two students: laughing, praying, encouraging, challenging, befriending. Randy is one of the few people about whom I can say, paraphrasing Paul, ‘Follow his example, as he follows the example of Christ.’”
In Living Jesus, Harris invites others not just to understand these great teachings but to live them in ways they never before imagined. This new book/DVD series is a training tool for people who want to live the way of Jesus. Centered on the entire contents of the Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5-7, it unpacks the sermon in hard-hitting, easy-to-understand, and practical ways.
Living Jesus is currently available for review under the REVIEW A BOOK section. You can also sign up to win a free copy at either Goodreads or Librarything. And if you missed it, here is an excerpt from the first chapter.
Be sure to come out and meet Randy Harris at Mardel!
