Are you ready to make a difference?
Resident assistants are key leaders on a Christian college campus. They build a sense of community, serve as peer-counselors, and embody the mission of the university. Making a Difference shows how this journey of service can be a rewarding and even life-changing journey.
Stephen Beers is the Vice President for Student Development at John Brown University. He served as the president of the Association for Christians in Student Development (ACSD) and is currently serving as a commission member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).
Skip Trudeau is the Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students at Taylor University. He has served in a number of roles in student development and is a former president of the Association for Christians in Student Development (ACSD).
"Making a Difference is the first-ever comprehensive review of the RA role from a Christian lens. With over 100,000 resident assistants in the United States, this ground-breaking book should be an excellent resource for housing departments."
--Jeff Doyle, Dean for Student Learning & Engagement, Baylor University
"A hiker who sets out on a trail knows the value of a good hiking guide that establishes location and direction, describes hazards and challenges along the way, and identifies points of focus so the hiker doesn't miss remarkable vistas. This volume is that kind of resource for the new resident assistant."
--Edee Schulze, Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students, Westmont College
