God loves stories too! That's the way he chose to communicate. Wonder why? As the Creator of the universe and having all available power, why does he tell us stories? Maybe because we all love stories. Stories make children of us all. Maybe because we remember stories. We forget dry facts, but when someone says, "Let me tell you a story," all ears tune in. Maybe because he wants us to get the point. We participate in his stories. As we listen to them, we say things like, "That's me." "I feel that way." "I've done that too."
Whatever his reasons, God opens his heart to us in stories. They're called "parables."
